    Mattie Fowler – Academic All-American

    Nebraska Softball senior, Mattie Fowler, was named a 1st Team Academic All-American.  This was an opportunity to not only congratulate Mattie, but to pound our chests a little bit about the academic success at Nebraska.  The content plan was established to involve several social media accounts, including our Softball accounts, Softball head-coach accounts, main Huskers accounts, and some other accounts for cross promotion.  A quote from Mattie was even turned into a graphic and delivered to her to post herself.

    Storm Chasing

    Lincoln, Nebraska gets its fair share of inclement weather; however, tornados always seem to go around the city.  When the sirens began to sound one spring Monday, most moved to the interior of Memorial Stadium, hoping to wait out the storm and twisters.

    I, on the other hand, grabbed some camera equipment and headed to the roof.  Might not have been the smartest thing I’ve done, but captured a few fun images. The goal was a funnel, but unfortunately (fortunately?) there were none close enough to the stadium to capture.

  • Memorial Stadium Balloon Shirt

    Memorial Stadium Balloon Shirt

    Memorial Stadium, home to the Nebraska Cornhuskers Football team since the 1920s, has a tradition dating back to World War II.  This t-shirt pays homage to the releasing of the balloons after the first score during each home game.  The minimalist design works well as a simple screen print while still remaining impactful to all Husker faithful.

    The shirts come in four colors. The traditional scarlet red for Nebraska, along with classic white and gray. Blue, a rare color for Huskers gear, plays well with the design and acts like the sky above Memorial Stadium.

    Making it to The League, the dream of every college football player.  The combine behind them, Pro Day, private work outs, dozens of interview, all leading up to one weekend agonizing over when, if ever, their name will be called and forever associate their talents and abilities as someone that would be an NFL draft pick.

    Nebraska Volleyball Spring Season

    Short-form video has gained incredible popularity. With short attention spans and ever-growing social media timelines, most videos – no matter how long – are viewed for fewer than 15 seconds. Vine has become a great way of telling stories in six seconds or less.

    For the 2016 Nebraska Volleyball Spring Season, I published a Vine after each practice (plus an extra one or two in there for fun).

    2016 Nebraska Football Schedule Cards

    The 2016 Nebraska Football pocket schedule is the first major piece of collateral to be printed and distributed for the 2016-17 school year.  Hot off the press just in time for the Spring Game, it’s the first opportunity to set the tone for the upcoming season.

    For 2016, I wanted to play with sketched and drawn looks.  I integrated several drawing and coloring techniques along with a paper (and crumpled paper) texture to try and pull off the effect.  As per tradition, each senior is featured on the cards.  The cards were broken up by position group for 2016.
