I’m On A Boat

I’m On A Boat

Lincoln got a little bit of rain the night of May 6th, 2015 – somewhere between 5 and 8 inches, by most accounts. This, coupled with the seemingly all-day severe weather from the south filled the Salt Creek drainage system to near levy-breaking levels. Hawks Field at Haymarket Park, the home of Nebraska Baseball, sits on Line Drive just footsteps away from the Salt Creek. In fact, the drainage system on the field drains into the Salt Creek.

Most of the time.

We took this opportunity to bring some humor to the situation as the final home-stand for the Huskers looked in doubt. The Saturday-Sunday-Monday series hosting Purdue was planned to have a Darin Erstad bobblehead giveaway. We invited fans to follow along with the Adventures of Lil Erstad.

What a difference one night (and a tireless crew working non-stop throughout that night) can make!
